Isaiah 43:7 Everyone who is called by My name, whom I have created for My glory; I have formed him, yes, I have made him.

As I went to reach for the chocolat ice cream I purchased earlier in the day at the grocery store, I noticed that it had been marked by my son, Richard.

It made me laugh as this was probably his form of claiming the ice cream to himself.

I  thought about the Lord as I was looking at this, how He has called us by name and how we are the apple of His eye.  We are made in His image, and we are a royal priesthood.  Many verses came to my mind.

I also thought  how the Lord has the hairs on our head numbered, and how much he loves us.   He loves us so much that he sent His son to die for our sins.

I was not upset about the initial on the ice cream, I rejoiced as the Lord affirmed His love for me.

Rejoice today, the Lord has claimed you as His own!

I love You

As I was in prayer last night, I heard the following message the Lord would have me share with you.

Tell my people that I love them, and that I am coming back for a Bride without spot or wrinkle.   My Son has made them without spot or wrinkle by the finished work on Calvary.

If my Bride will understand that all I require is their heart and love and not works, and for them to focus on Me, that intimacy that they desire will follow.

My Bride, focus on Me, for I am your first love.

Be blessed as you read these words.

Words are Powerful

Nearly a year ago we adopted an adult male boxer from the pound.  When I first looked at him, he was sorry site.  He was stiched up, skinny,  and had  sores all over his body.

Since we  requested a boxer from the pound, (we are partial to them)   they were kind enough to phone us to inform us that one had arrived, and if we did not want him he would be put to sleep.

We took him home.  Why? We did not think he would make it, and to be honest, he was in bad shape.  He had been malnourished and not taken care of at all.

He was weak and could not run around our large property.   He could not even eat large amounts of food.  But something happened, we began to talk to him, he responded to his new name of Watson, and I began telling him that he was handsome, (he believes me!)  and we would pet and hug him all the time.

Little by little he became strong, his sores healed, and this dog has turned out to be a blessing for our family.

Words, powerful words of healing and love.  These words caused him to improve his health. He gained weight and before we knew it, he was running and playing.

As Christians, we are to speak words of exhortation and comfort.  We can also put them in print.

What words are you saying today?  Tell someone they are handsome or beautiful, and see them change!

Acts of God

By Fernando Nietzen

Romans 5:18 Therefore, as through one man's offense judgment came to all men, resulting in condemnation, even so through one Man's righteous act the free gift came to all men, resulting in justification of life.

Have you noticed how mankind calls natural disasters and devastating occurrences: "Acts of God" ? Isn't it just like the enemy and his world to twist things around so drastically?

The bottom line is we are expected to associate all things negative with God's arbitrary and subjective whims. It is no surprise then that many in this world are bitter and cynical towards their Creator. A child dies or the innocent suffer and those affected and the media, blame the Lord.

The truth is that the world has it exactly wrong, it is not God's wish for death or suffering or sin to have a field-day with mankind. All of these things, including natural disasters are the result of the fall of mankind. The enemy just wants God to receive the blame for it all. We have grown so accustomed to this concept because everywhere we turn, the truth has been distorted. Insurance policies even call these disasters "Acts of God". Authors of feasibility studies wash their hands of anything they did not foresee in their project by calling it an "act of God".

Nevertheless, we know that the only acts of God for His creation have always been of patience, mercy and love. Such love that the fallen world could not and cannot begin to comprehend, only through His Son were we able to be reconciled as a free gift, only through His Spirit can we begin to grasp the unconditional love He has for us. Apart from Him we are hopeless and dead.

Thank you Father for creating us and giving us the breath of life. Thank you Jesus for redeeming us from our sinful nature and from death. Thank you Holy Spirit for giving us a new heart and making us a new creation so that we may fellowship in your presence and be able to understand how we need you and how great is your love.
