Psalms 50:10 For every beast of the forest is Mine, and the cattle on a thousand hills

Recently we were going through a problem, and I don´t know about you, but when in a difficult  situations sometimes I just don´t think correctly.

I have always taken the advice from King David.  Wait on the Lord and rest in Him.  If we are haste to come up with ¨solution¨ to our ¨problem¨ we just may end up making a big mistake.

It´s not always easy to wait and the enemy just hates it.  He wants to see you squirming, making rash decisions,  but if we wait on the Lord, we are rewarded.  

So we waited, and the outcome was favorable.

Is it time that you waited for your answer?

A story has broken  in Costa Rica regarding some immigration officials  selling entry stamps on their  passports to illegals living in the United States.   The immigration officials would travel to the states, stamp the passports at a price of $100.00 -$200.00 per stamp and return.  This would show the illegals entering and leaving the country, not risking their visa.

This scam was caught, and now there is an investigation involving as many as 20 immigration officals involved.

The word says in 1 Corinthians 4:5 Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord comes, who will both bring to light the hidden things of darkness and reveal the counsels of the hearts. Then each one’s praise will come from God.(NKJ)

Whatever is hidden in the darkness,  will come to the light.  The sin mentioned above was hidden for quite some time, but it was brought out into the light and is now being investigated.

Is there something in your life that has not been brought out to the light, and it still remains hidden?  Perhaps you have not had justice in an area, or there was a misunderstanding in an another.

Ask the Lord to bring out those hidden things and shine them to the light.  Doing so will cause everyone to see correctly.

1 Corinthians 9:22 to the weak I became as weak, that I might win the weak. I have become all things to all men, that I might by all means save some.(NKJ) 

In this subject I will cover some points on how an Apostle is prepared for ministry.

The  passage above  Paul is saying that he has to become all things to all men. How does an Apostle become all things to all men?  It begins with exposure. 

Exposure with different kinds of peoples, personalities, doctrines, church types, in fact, exposure in every area.   This is necessary because the Lord will need  His Apostles  to serve His Bride, and we come from all walks of life.

I will point out a few things that perhaps you can identify with.

• God will expose you to different kinds of ministries. 

Here is where your training ground begins.  You will be in ministries that you don´t like to be in, or doing task that your uncomfortable with.  You will see people minister in areas that you feel you are better qualified in.  You will see other people making mistakes and you will want to scream for them to stop. 

The Apostle in training may feel a  calling to the prophetic, and there he or she is, working the overhead projector in the church. 

I remember that I had a desire to learn how to prophesy, and I was sent to the nursery.  I then wanted to be on the music ministry, and I began with turning over the music sheets on the projector.    I did not know that my preparation was beginning.

All of this is extremely necessary for the Apostle to go through.   God prepares you to face every area of ministry so that you will know how not to  it and how to do it correctly. 

Also this preparation is important so that you can identify with people in the Body.

• The Lord will put you in situations where you will fail, and you will fail miserably. 

I have too many to count.  This is to equip you to have a servants attitude and to remain humble in His sight.

• Temperamental changes

One of the most difficult area for me was  going through the different kinds of temperaments.  The four types of temperaments are:

• Amiable
• Driver
• Analytical
• Expressive

I was the amiable type.  I was always smiling, making every one happy, and leaving all the decisions to others.  I was then thrust into becoming a driver where I had to make a stand on my goals and push through like a bulldog  to accomplish my plans.

I  became an analytical.  I was re -doing  a business website and began to examine every meta tag and  every key word to make sure that I would obtain a higher google ranking.  I was eliminating pages and re wording others.

Expressive, this has been the most difficult for me.  I was the quiet type, but then something rose up within me where I just had to share my opinion and tell everyone how wrong they were (smile.)

The Lord will take you through these different temperament changes so that you can become all things to all people.

You will change, because the Lord will change you.  It just happens, especially if your desire is to follow the call of God on your life.  You cannot be complacent where you are at, you must push through.

• Social Preparation

The Lord will also take you through social preparation.  Here is where the racial boundaries are non existent and there are no age differences and no class types.

If you did not feel comfortable with a certain race of people, guess where the Lord is going to thrust you next.  Yes, with the race you are most uncomfortable with.

Every person is a valuable member of the Body of Christ.  An Apostle must minister to people of all walks of life and view  people as the same.  We are the same in the eyes of the Lord and that is what the Apostle is reflecting.   There is no place for racism in the Kingdom of God.

While at the ministry service we attend,  someone asked a question that I am sure has been asked many times.

Can our loved ones see us from heaven?  The answer was and is no, and the reason is stated in the scripture.

Heaven is described as a place where there is no sin, no tear, and no worry.  If our loved ones were to “look down from heaven” so to speak,  they would enter into sin.  The earth and its inhabitants is a place full of sin, while heaven is a place devoid of any sin.

This made perfect sense to me.

I then remembered reading about this question before, so I went to the GMR bible questions forum and did a quick search and found the following

Luke 16:26: Besides all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed, so that those who want to pass from here to you cannot, nor can those from there pass to us.’(NKJ)

This is the scripture that is used often, and this is the answer I found from Apostle Les D. Crause:

When Jesus died he descended into the place called Abraham’s bosom, and proclaimed the good news to those who had died in faith before He paid the price on Calvary. Then He broke free of Hades and arose from the dead. When he did this he liberated the souls of those in Abraham’s bosom and lifted them up to a new place of keeping, which is now known as Paradise or the Third Heaven.

Since the passage refers to the situation before Jesus died, we can no longer see those on the “other side.”

Proverbs 28:25 He who trusts in the LORD will be prospered.

 A close  relative of mine had a great job in the refrigeration and air conditioning  industry.  Because of the type of work he was involved in, he knew many of his competitors, and often times had a good relationship with them.

His position was well established in the company, and he had great job security.  One day, however,  he received a phone call from one of his competitors.  A job offer was made.

He did not give an answer right away, instead he asked the Lord what he should do.  While the decision to leave his job to go to another one did not make sense, he felt the Lord was telling him to take this new position.

After he took the new position, just a few short weeks later,  his previous company folded.   My relative made the right choice, because he trusted in the Lord, and not in himself.

Many times we have choices in our life, and we make decisions.  While we may not know the answer, God does.  God knew ahead of time that the company my relative was working for was going to fold, and God provided a way out before it happened.  God wanted him to prosper, and not face the financial problems that arise with a job loss.

Do you find yourself no knowing how to answer?  Trust in the Lord, and you will be prospered.  He will give you the right answer, even though it may not make any sense to you.

Isaiah 35:8  A highway shall be there, and a road, And it shall be called the Highway of Holiness. The unclean shall not pass over it, But it shall be for others. Whoever walks the road, although a fool, shall not go astray.

We walk many roads in our lifetime.  Some roads, or choices, are good, others not so good.  If we were to reflect on our past, we can  probably point out what stage of our life we were on that particular road.   The choices will always be there, that will not change.  The question is, which road will we take? 

The road we choose to walk on will have a positive or negative effect in our lives.  Walking the road with the Lord does not promise to be easy.  We will go through triumphs, losses and heartaches.   There will be decisions we need to take, but the end result is one of blessings.  It is a road that I choose to walk on.

As we further our walk on that higway to holiness, we will not go astray.  We will be lead by His grace and mercy, and the more we walk, the easier it becomes.

Are you at a crossroads?  Choose to  walk on that highway, you will not be dissapointed.

Matthew 27:3 Then Judas, His betrayer, seeing that He had been condemned, was remorseful and brought back the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders.

This popular  passage speaks about Judas´ betrayal of Jesus, and how he became remorseful then later hung himself.  In spite of all of this, do you think Jesus knew that Judas was going to betray Him?  Of course!  Jesus knew all things.

Do you know that Jesus assigns us tasks or jobs, knowing that we will fail?  Why is this? you may ask.  It is so that we mature and stretch.  The Lord does this on purpose, it´s the only way we will learn and grow.

Just because we fail at a job or task does not mean we are not able to carry it out.  Picture a gym, and when you go the first time you come out exhausted.  But as you keep going and working out, what you did a few months ago which was so difficult is now easy.

That is how it is with the Lord.  In order for us to do the big things, we must first start with the small things, and work our way up.   Along the way we will fail and make mistakes, but all of that is very necessary to attain our goal. 

Once we acheive that goal, and we can do two things.  We can say we have arrived and settle in, or we can push for more.

Personally, I prefer to push for more, knowing that  mistakes and failures will come, but I also know that as I continue, I will reach the next goal.

Are you finding yourself failing every step of the way?  Rejoice, God is working on your “spiritual muscles” so to speak.  The Lord wants you to achieve your goal.  But don´t feel too comfortable there, reach for that next goal.
