Hebrews 12:1 Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us

I was able to go away for a few days to Playa Hermosa last week to meet some clients coming in. 

When I travel, I usually take a semi private shuttle.  I am not good a driving long distance, and I prefer to relax and enjoy the scenery. 

At one point, there was some road work being done.  When the shuttle bus arrived it had to stop since there was only one lane open. When it was our turn to go, the worker handed him a red flag to hand over to the employee at the other side. The red flag was their way of stopping the flow of traffic.

As I sat behind the driver, I saw something different though.

As leaders, there comes a time where we need to pass the flag so to speak, so that others can run the race that the Lord has set before them.

How does one do this?  You pour everything you have into them. You pour your time, you pour out of your spirit, you impart to them everything that you have. You then you let them go.  Some however, may need a push out of the nest and they must learn to flap their wings and fly.  The Lord has equipped us with a task, and while each task may be different, they all have the same goal. To edify the Body of christ.

Let us pour into others what the Lord has poured into us.  In doing so, we are building a team to extend His kingdom.  Pass the flag to the next person, and those that you have removed it from will begin to soar as eagles.
